We are looking forward to this one. This gig is open to the public and we hope to see a lot of our friends there. Most of our gigs are private events so it is a lot of fun for us when we get to play for everyone.

Here I am, sitting at the old laptop with music on my mind. I hope we can get back out there someday, soon. We are older guys. I wonder how much longer we will be able to do it.
It gets harder and harder to do as each year passes. If I listened to my body, I would give it up. Load in and load out is a bitch. My heart will not allow me to stop so I keep going. In this downtime I have been learning new tunes and making the old songs better (I hope). I have been evaluating my sound system. The old system is heavy and hard to move. The new sound equipment is much lighter and easier to move around and it sounds better, too. The investment is substantial enough that I have to wonder if it is worth it to update. (Anyone have a spare $2400.00 you can give me)?
When I was in Phnom Penh, Cambodia last year I played my guitar and sang at a lot of clubs and bars. Every club and bar had their own sound system. There was almost a competition between them to see which one had the best sound system. It is a completely different environment than what we have here in the Phoenix area. I am aware that there are a few high end clubs here that have excellent sound systems and great sound people who have them dialed in but they are the exception, not the rule. It sure was awesome to walk into a place, plug in and play, unplug and walk out. Even the drummers only carried their cymbal bags and a stick bags s(sometimes their kick pedal). Different world.
Well, we shall carry on. Who knows what the future holds? The Weezul Brothers don’t know any better anyway.

You may not be aware of this but The Weezul Brothers have two CDs available. I have posted their respective covers in the body of this Post. This is not a shameless plug (okay, it is a shameless plug). If you are interested in either of them contact Jack. He will fill you in on how to get one. I am not sure if we have any available at the moment but Jack will figure something out for you. You can find Jacks number on the web page (www.weezulbrothers.com).
Here they are:
Keepin’ It Real is a CD of original tunes written by brother Jack. The songs are a little Country, a little Blues, and a whole lot of fun.
Road Kill is a CD we made when we first started as a band to help us get the word out. It is a CD of cover songs, some of which we still do (only much better than we did then), and it is a fun to have.

After 15 years of sticking with one logo Jack Weezul decided to design a new one. He designed one logo for T shirts that I think is fantastic and I am sharing it with you here. I would like to add that if you need a design made you should contact Jack. He is brilliant and well known for his designs. He has many samples he can share with you.

It has been over 2 years since I sat down and wrote something about The Weezul Brothers Band. We are all alive and in good shape as far as I know. We are scheduled to play at Pacino’s on May 2. I was there today to get some take-out. It will probably be cancelled but, for now, it is not. Keep an eye on the Facebook page (Weezul Brothers) and the web page (www.weezulbrothers.com) for the up to date information.
