Getting Hot In Arizona

Posted in Mike Weezul on May 18, 2012 by michaelkenney

You know, Weezuls are furry critters. Heat is not good for us. That will not stop us from playing your party if you have a notion to throw one. You can check out our web site to see if we are available on the date you are planning. Go to http://www.weezulbrothers.com to see what is coming up in the near and distant future. Our brother Jack is really good at keeping the dates current. Jack’s contact information is on the page as well. Give him a call or send him an email. He will set you up. We like doing pool parties and backyard bbq gigs. We would love to perform at yours.

Here is to the summer. Yes, it gets hot here in Arizona but we love it any time of year. Folks outside of Arizona, don’t count us out. Let’s talk. We would love to play in cities like San Diego, LA, anywhere along the coast. Let’s find a venue and talk.

Cheers!!!

The Weezul Brothers - January 21, 2012

What a weekend we had at Apache Gold (http://www.apachegoldcasinoresort.com/Cabaret.html). The casino is fantastic. The audience was great both nights. They were up and dancing from the first song. We had friends come up form the Valley to see us. One couple from Surprise, several from Mesa, from all over. It was good to see them.

We hope to play there again as soon as it can be arranged. We can hardly wait.

Next up: February 3 – American Legion – 2240 West Chandler Boulevard Chandler, AZ – 7pm to 11pm

Hope to see you , soon.

Merry Christmas from The Weezul Brothers Band

Posted in Mike Weezul on December 18, 2011 by michaelkenney

And a Happy New Year!!! (To the others…Happy Holidays!!!).

Well, we have managed to muddle through 2011. We are really looking forward to a great 2012. We hope to work more in the coming year. (2011 was rather slow). We are looking at new music for our cover repertoire and recording original music. Getting involved with more communities in the Phoenix area. We enjoy playing the outdoor festivals like PF Chang’s and The Glendale Chocolate Affaire.

This blog is meant for you. Please feel free to comment on posts. We would love to hear from you. Good and bad…we are interested in what you have to say as that pertains to the band and the music. The band hopes that you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year. We hope your 2012 is the best year of your life.

Thank you for your support. See next year.

Chuck Weezul – My Other Brother

Posted in Mike Weezul on July 31, 2011 by michaelkenney

Well, I wrote a blog about Ken Weezul and then one about Jack Weezul. It is only proper that I tell you a little about our brother Chuck.

Chuck is the drummer for the band. He takes care of the percussion, too.

The thing that makes Chuck special is that he is always coming up with good ideas. He keeps us on our toes for sure. He has a great wit and he has a knack for surprising us with visual gags. I remember more than one time that I started to lose it if I got a look at what he was up to back there. You have to keep your eye on him when you come see us play. You never know what he will do.

Big news!!! The Weezul Brothers Band will be appearing at the Apache Gold Casino in Globe, Arizona (http://www.apachegoldcasinoresort.com/Cabaret.html). The dates are October 14 and October 15. The Weezul Brothers and Out Of Order LLC Management & Promotions are working on special offers for you that will add to the fun. We hope to have some information for you in the next week. We will get the information to you as soon as we can.

Have a great week!!!

The 4th of July, 2011

Posted in Mike Weezul on July 1, 2011 by michaelkenney

The band is preparing for some upcoming gigs. We have hit a long dry spell and we are looking forward to getting out again. The gigs we have are a long way out so if you have an event coming up and could use a band give us a call. We could use some “warm up” gigs to work out the kinks.

Call Jack @ 602-509-5129. He can tell you all you need to know and can give you costs and times and dates, etc. He’s a cool guy.

Have a great Fourth of July holiday and stay safe!!!

Not Much Goin’ On

Posted in Mike Weezul on April 26, 2011 by michaelkenney

Well, after a great start to the year The Weezul Brothers find themselves without a lot going on.

The saddest thing about what we, all of us, are experiencing in this economy is the number of places going out of business. Way to many of the places we liked to play our music in are closed and they are closing more and more of them every week.

Here is the point. Let’s get out there and support live music. When you attend a show you not only support the band, you support the establishment that hires the band. In turn you are keeping people employed. You keep the economy going and have a goodtime all at once. Not bad!!!

While The Weezul Brothers hunt down some new places to play we would encourage you to get out there and listen to the music. It’s everywhere and if you live here in the Phoenix area you will find some of the best.

Peace

Springtime!

Posted in Mike Weezul on March 21, 2011 by michaelkenney

Here it is…Spring!!! To desert dwellers that means 100 + degree days are just around the corner.

The Weezul Brothers are working hard to line up some gigs. That means going into clubs and bars and restaurants, etc. and selling the band. We could use your help. Send us the name of some of your favorite night spots and we will focus on them. We appreciate your help.

The Weezul Brothers want to thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you all again, soon!!!
