One Month From Start of New Season!!!

Posted in Uncategorized on August 9, 2015 by michaelkenney

The summer is still with us and our schedule is going to start heating up, soon. The band will be getting together for a rehearsal, or two to knock the rust off and remember who does what. The band will be ready. We hope you will be, too.

Brother Roger Weezul will be back with us on bass this season. There will be other surprises through the year we are sure but the main four will be Roger, Jack, Chuck, and Mike. You may see Ken from time to time and let’s not forget brother George. It will be a great year.

September is a slow month for us so if you are looking for a band for your event during September please give us a call at 602-509-5129. Jack will give you all of the pricing information and get you set up with contracts and discuss the music you would like to hear. The Weezul Brothers offer a variety of music styles to suit your needs. We are flexible and aim to please. Check out the web page below:

http://www.weezulbrothers.com/

We will do parties and backyard BBQ’s and whatever else you have in mind. If you would like to see us play at a local club, bar, tavern, or whatever, let us know and we will contact the venue to see if it can be arranged. You can help by letting the managers and owners know about us. We will take it from there.

See you all very soon.

Another Season has Come and Gone

Posted in Mike Weezul on April 5, 2015 by michaelkenney

The Weezul Brothers Band has completed another season of fun music and good times here in the Valley of The Sun. As some of you know the band plays a lot of the RV Resorts in the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area. I will say that this season has been one of the bands most successful seasons. We have made a lot of new friends and have made the old friendships stronger. The band has been presented to a new venue, Major League Baseball Spring Training.  There ia a possibility that the band will play at more games next year. Keep you fingers crossed.

We are taking a break. Personally, I am looking forward to a little time off to recover physically. As I get older I find it a little more difficult to drag all the equipment around and setting it up and tearing it down. It is like a traveling circus.

Please take a look at the web page on occasion. The schedule is located there and using the schedule is the best way to find out where we will be. I will try to let you know using the blog of any new gigs but I rarely get the blog out before the schedule is updated.

See you next season.

The Weezul Brothers Band is getting ready to kick off the 2014 – 2015 season. We have played a few gigs through the summer as warm ups for when our winter visitors return to The Valley of the Sun. The band has landed a nice monthly gig at the Fired Up Grill (Our next gig there will be on September 13, 2014, 6:30 – 9:30). We hope this will open us up to more venues like this around the valley. The Holidays

Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! Happy Kwanzaa, too. We are beginning to understand the brevity of Happy Holidays!!! Happy Holidays covers them all.

After a slow November the band is looking forward to a busy December. Our schedule is looking good with resort jobs. We still have open dates for parties and clubs so keep us in mind if you are looking for a really good band to provide entertainment for your event.

The picture below is of the current Weezul Brothers Band line up.

I thought an introduction would be in order.

Jack Weezul (guitar/steel guitar/ vocals). He’s the one with all the white hair. In front of Jack is Jerry Lee Weezul (guitar/mandolin/vocals/bass/drums). He is the one in the cowboy hat strategically dipped for extra coolness. Next to Jerry Lee is brother Chuck Weezul (drums/percussion/vocals). Mike Weezul (guitar/vocals/percussion) that’s me being silly as usual. Last, but certainly not least, our youngest brother  Jerry Weezul (bass/incredible bass).

That’s it for now. Hope you all have a blessed and safe holiday season.

A New Season Is Upon Us

Posted in Mike Weezul on August 4, 2013 by michaelkenney

The Weezul Brothers are getting ready to begin another season providing music for dances, parties, special events, clubs (private and public), in door and out door events, etc. You name it, we will be there. (If there is some Weezul feed involved).

The current schedule is available at http://www.weezulbrothers.com. You may notice that there are plenty of calender dates open. If you have some special event coming up give Jack Weezul a call at 602-509-5129. He will work everything out with you. Pricing, timing, special request. Whatever you need…we aim to please.

The Weezul Brothers are looking for a full time, dedicated bass player. We are currently using subs. They are talented but we need a steady, dedicated guy. If you’re interested, look over the song list on the web site above. If you like what you see give Jack a call (602-509-5129). He will set you up with an audition and answer your questions. If you sing harmony that is great. It is not mandatory.

I am looking forward to a great season. I think my brothers are, too. Hope to see you out there real soon.

The Tour

Posted in Mike Weezul on March 24, 2013 by michaelkenney

The past fall and winter has been an exciting time for the Weezuls. We have been playing a lot of the resorts in the east valley and the Lost Dutchman Rodeo was a kick as usual. The PurpleStride event was most memorable. The Purplestride organization is all about finding the cure for pancreatic cancer. Please look them up at http://www.purplestride.org to learn more about their work.

The season is winding down now. The winter visitors are heading home as the weather starts to heat up. We wish them all a safe journey home and hope to see them all again in the fall of this year.

Those of you in the Phoenix area keep us in mind for parties and events you may be planning. Give us a call and we will work with you.

Happy New Year!!!

Posted in Mike Weezul on December 28, 2012 by michaelkenney

2012 is winding down and 2013 will be here shortly. The last part of 2012 has been busy for The Weezul Brothers. The band has been playing a lot of the resorts in Arizona. The residents of these resorts are from all over the country and Canada. Usually from the colder climate areas. We call them winter visitors. I can’t blame them for coming here in the winter. Mesa, Arizona is very nice this time of year. The facilities are fantastic, too. These are very impressive communities.

The coming year starts much as this year is ending. The band will be busy through the early spring playing a lot of resorts. I enjoy doing these jobs and the rest of the band seems to enjoy them, too. We are booking for next season as well. It looks like another good year on the horizon.

Here is to you Weezul Brother friends. Happy New Year!!!
